Soumya Banerjee

Senior Vice President, Central CAD and Design Services

Soumya Banerjee is the Senior Vice President of Engineering, Central CAD and Design Services at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. In this role, Soumya is responsible for setting the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) strategy for the company, developing a unified platform for tools, flows and methodologies (TFM) for all ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ systems on a chip (SOCs) and the physical design of internal ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ SOCs. He joined ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ from Intel Corporation where he served as a Senior Director, ASIC Design, CAD and Methodology.

Previously, Soumya was the Senior Director of CAD at Xilinx, now part of AMD, and the Engineering Director of CAD at MIPS. He also held various engineering roles at Synopsys, Chromatic Research and SGI.

Soumya holds a B. Tech, EECE degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University. He has also been awarded multiple patents.
