The 8-channel 88SS1100 is the sixth generation of NVMe-based controllers from ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. This SSD controller family is aimed at mainstream and high-performance PC clients and edge computing SSDs. The Gen 3x4 PCIe??controllers integrate the 4th generation of the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ NANDEdge? technology, offering the advanced error correction capabilities to address the increasing demands required to enable future SSD solutions with emerging 96-layer triple level-cell (TLC) and quad level-cell (QLC) NAND architectures.?

Additionally, the 88SS1100 uses a common hardware and firmware controller architecture with the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ data center and enterprise NVMe controllers, the 88S1088 and 88S1098. This enables SSD makers to leverage development efforts and bring them to market much faster with lower development costs.
